I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Rhode Island. I have three years experience working in the field. My experience has primarily been in working with young children, adolescents and young adults in the child welfare and foster care/adoption fields. My expertise is in trauma, attachment and foster care and adoption related issues. Additionally I have experience working with depression, anxiety and self-harm related issues. In my clinical practice I use cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory and client centered approach to treatment. I am LGBTQ - affirming. I am comfortable with navigating Christian and specific religious related issues. I describe myself as a warm, kind, funny individual and I show up as that person in the therapeutic space.

I am a therapist in my late 20s so I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic space when navigating the transition from teenage years to young adulthood. Young adulthood includes a number of difficult issues including navigating adult friendships, moving to a new place for work, seeking romantic partnership, imposter syndrome and navigating first jobs in the "real world". All of these experiences can be incredibly overwhelming and even more so to navigate all at once. In therapy with me I will bring a specific lens of being able to relate to these unique experiences.

In my role as a therapist I believe in meeting the client where they are at in life. I firmly believe people do not seek therapy until they are ready or until life forces them to be ready. I believe in taking therapy at the client's pace and leaning on them to be the experts of their lives and own experiences. I am more than happy to accommodate the medium through which the client wants to begin doing the clinical work.
