Hi! My name is Anissa, I appreciate you reaching out to Find A Therapist for the opportunity in finding the right counselor for you. Just to give you an idea of myself, I have been working in the mental health field for 11 years and have been a Licensed Counselor for the last 5 years. I have experience in working within inpatient psychiatric hospital settings, outpatient mental health and additions counseling (individual therapy, group therapy, intensive outpatient program) and in-home therapy.

I graduated from Monmouth University in 2015 where I obtained a Masters Degree in Science with a focus in Mental Health Counseling. Prior to attending MU, I studied at Georgian Court University with a focus in Psychology. My treatment approach is very eclectic, I do enjoy problem solving and figuring out what options are available. I pull from different approaches and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Existential, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapies. This isn't, "One size fits all," for me. I adapt to what your needs and wants are to work with you in creating the right treatment plan and goals that you want to achieve.
