My name is Andrew Blizard, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State. I have worked in colleges, hospitals, outpatient clinics and in-home settings during my career. I have experience working with trauma recovery, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, family relationships, and adjustment to significant life changes, among other issues.

My style of counseling is a person-centered, trauma-informed approach. The client's effort to find a therapist should be met with a professional and comfortable environment where you can self-identify areas of concern. My counseling style includes a dialogic approach and, in collaboration with the client, introducing evidenced based practices to better support their overall health. The counseling relationship should be individualized to your needs, and cater to specific lifestyles, cultures, and beliefs.
