Hi there! My name is Andrea and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, passionate about connecting with others to help facilitate growth and fulfillment. I have been a therapist for 7 years now, working in different settings including a youth homeless shelter, residential treatment center, community agency, and an outpatient hospital clinic. I’ve worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, anger, parenting problems, and much more.

One thing that is super important to me as a therapist is developing a strong therapeutic relationship. This means doing my best to help each client feel comfortable and safe sharing openly and honestly with me so that I can help find realistic solutions. I often use a therapy approach known as Cognitive Behavioral therapy which helps us understand the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I think this can be very useful in allowing us to experience greater control in our lives. I believe in a collaborative process where I work together with clients to help identify where small, gradual improvements might be needed, that will hopefully lead to long-lasting changes.
