About

Starting therapy is a significant step, and I'm here to make that journey as comfortable as possible. I hold a Master in Social Work from Boston University and a Master in Public Health, and I bring over a decade of experience to our sessions. My professional path began with work involving youth and families within the state's welfare and mental health programs. This early experience laid a strong foundation for my current role as a mental health therapist. As a public health social worker, I believe in examining both the broader societal picture and the individual's unique experiences. We are all shaped by a complex interplay of these factors, and I am dedicated to understanding and helping you navigate them. My practice primarily centers on adolescents and their families, but I am equally passionate about working with adults of all ages. I have a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ individuals, recognizing the importance of providing specialized care and support. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches, with a special emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I use a person-centered, strengths-based perspective to create a space where your strengths and unique qualities are celebrated. Above all, I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. If you ever feel that we're not the right fit, I encourage open communication. Your comfort and trust in our counseling journey are paramount, and I am more than willing to help you find the perfect therapist if needed. Previous clients have described me as kind, easy to talk to, and insightful, and I'm committed to bringing these qualities to our work together. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you, fostering your growth, resilience, and well-being every step of the way.
