Welcome and good for you for getting started. It is always a really difficult first step. I recently heard a song with a lyric that said, "I'm tired of trying to figure things out and I'm tired of being alone." I thought that that is exactly how most people feel when they finally start to look for help.

If you are feeling anything like that, here is how I can help. First we will work together to help understand what has been happening and what is really going on. I have many tools to offer to help you take some steps right away. You will begin to shift how you are thinking and feeling about your day-to-day life and your future. With caring conversation and a dash of humor I will help you move to the life have been hoping for. It is not always easy, but there can be so much joy at finding a new way to live and getting untangled from what has been holding you back.

As a Marriage Family Therapist I have over 25 years of experience counseling all types of people. I work to respect and truly listen to each person I see. I am honored that they have brought me into their pain and their process. I consider myself to be a liberal Christian, meaning that I have a deep and abiding faith, have worked in the church for many years and that I believe in a God of love for us all and not in a God of condemnation. Whether my client has a spiritual tradition or not, I am grateful to be on their life journey with them. I love to work with women who are stressed and overwhelmed. I have expertise in parenting, adoptions and foster care, depression and anxiety, and relationship conflicts. It is wonderful to see my clients' self-esteem and confidence grow and that they have joy back in their life again.
