About

As a counselor, I work hard for my clients. This looks different for each person, but no matter what the challenges may be, I work to be each person’s advocate, encourager, and supporter.

Compassion and empathy are two personal strengths which help my effectiveness as a counselor. I am a licensed professional counselor with over 8 years experience providing counseling to a wide range of ages, from children to the geriatric population. Most of my experience has been helping people deal with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, family/relational issues, stress, grief/loss, and life changes. My approach to counseling includes client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, and is tailored to my client’s needs.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is very important and can be used an example for other relationships in a person’s life. My ultimate goal is to provide an environment where you feel safe to share your own story.

A little about me: As a wife and homeschool mom to 3 (adopted and biological children) I don’t have much free time, but when I do, I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, and traveling.
