My name is Andrea Urbanek and I am a licensed clinical social worker with 8 years experience working with various populations including people experiencing substance abuse, adults with special needs and most recently, working with people in psychiatric crisis in a medical setting. I do have a specialty in substance abuse and mood disorders and also have a vast amount of experience working with people who have co-occurring mental and physical health issues.

My approach to therapy is holistic, inclusive, client centered and positive. We will partner to figure out what your goals are and how we can best reach them; I will never be prescriptive or presume to know what is best for you. YOU are the expert on what works for you and I will be here to help you find the right tools, because coping skills are not the same for each person. I am very accepting and compassionate, so am open to working with anyone regardless of their background. I have worked with people from all walks of life and pride myself on being adaptable to different situations.

I think of therapy as a mutual learning experience; I will learn what I can from you to help you learn what coping skills or "tools" you need to get you where you want to be in life.
