Hello and welcome to the Find A Therapist community!
My name is Andrea and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have extensive counseling experience in several different settings of Inpatient, Outpatient, IOP, crisis units, and PSR. I have provided therapy for a wide range of concerns, including co-occurring disorders, addictions, life transitions, trauma, and mental illness. My experience with these diverse settings has allowed me a deeper understanding of the human condition and our resilience during moments of challenge and pain. Our need to deconstruct limiting beliefs and behavioral patterns through deep introspection of our inner world, leads to alignment with our highest potential waiting to be uncovered. We come into alignment when we take the drastic measures of allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, and honest with our past, current blockages and future goals. Although this work may be difficult, it will be the most beneficial and life transforming decision you make. I believe that all individuals seeking treatment deserve a specialized approach and modality should be catered depending on the individuals willingness to dive inwards.
My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, existential, person centered, and strength based. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My years of counseling have also led to studying holistic and alternative modalities of healing such as yoga, mindfulness, shamanic energetic healing, sound healing and essential oils as supplements to a healthy lifestyle as you merge mind, body and spirit.
Difficult and painful times are part of the human condition and are not to be feared, as our strength is marked in our humanities evolution.
I understand that seeking help during these unfamiliar times is a vulnerable step to take. Exploring one's growth during times of transition is based on a trusting and emotionally supportive relationship. I am here to support you during these times and look forward to meeting you.
