Welcome to A Resilient Tomorrow! Congrats you've taken a big first step! My name is Andrea Taylor, LCSW. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in the Tampa, Florida area. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University in 2006. Over the past 15 years as a clinician, my experience has taught me that the most important aspect of counseling by far is the connection and comfort you feel with the person you choose to share your personal struggles. I believe we can all grow through challenging experiences by self-awareness. We all want to be able to share our personal truths and be accepted and understood. I believe it's very important to be open-minded and non-judgmental when someone shares their personal story or experiences. I've worked with individuals, couples and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression/anxiety, stress, family problems, relationships/parenting, grief/bereavement, infertility, life-threatening illnesses and more. Depending on a client’s needs, I pull from several therapeutic modalities including Solution-Focused therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Problem-Solving Models, Task-Centered Practice and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. An integrated approach can be utilized as well. I offer primarily virtual sessions. The ease with which you can access therapy to work through day-to-day emotions and problem solving is extremely beneficial for most and a nice change from traditional outpatient counseling.
