I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my graduate degree of social work through Texas A&M Commerce and my undergraduate degree in social work from Texas Woman's University. I currently have five years of experience in the mental health field, working in the psychiatric hospital setting. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, stress management, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, and co-dependency. As your therapist I want to foster a safe and supportive environment to help you process, provide insight, and ultimately encourage you to take step to help you feel more in control of your life and in the direction you see fit. In addition, part of my role as a therapist will be to provide you information and education on coping skills as needed, to help you with problem solving, decision making, and manage the different challenges you are facing. The main treatment modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
