Hello, my name is Ana Lilia Morales-Mackay, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have a Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California in American Studies & Ethnicity with minors in Gender Studies and Spanish. My pronouns are she, her, and hers.

I have worked in outpatient mental health settings providing individual therapy, group therapy, and couples therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family counseling, grief & loss, and parenting problems. I have also worked in school settings assisting with school and career goals. My approach to therapy is cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic. My areas of expertise include exploring trauma and understanding how that impacts current decisions and relationships. My counseling style and approach really depends on the client and what best fits the situation. I will be listening to your needs and how to best support you.

Much of my work aims to understand the underlying concerns that are causing stressful situations and maladaptive behaviors. Through active listening, empathy, and from a non-judgmental standpoint, my goal is for us to create trust within the therapeutic relationship and to work together; creating both short- and long-term goals, recognizing triggers, and creating positive coping skills to assist you on your journey to healing.
