About

I am a clinical social worker licensed in Michigan with 3 years of experience working as a clinical social worker and sixteen years of experience working in the field of health and human services. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting problems, career challenges, and grief/coping with loss. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment, and I cooperatively assist my clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and supportive. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.
