Hello, and congratulations on taking the first step toward deeper self-care! I am a licensed Couple and Family Therapist in New Jersey. I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) in 2001, and my Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Couple and Family Therapy in 2008. In 2015, I became a mother to my daughter, Nia Joy. I am currently enjoying raising her as a single mother, living at the Jersey Shore. In 2006, I received my New Jersey license as a Marriage & Family Therapist. My specialty is helping my clients have better relationships with themselves, family and friends. I am passionate about teaching psychoeducation, mindfulness tools, and systemic interventions to help my clients reframe problem-saturated stories to find hope and solutions. Together, we will address and work through all the variables which contribute to suffering: family of origin relational dynamics (aka, multi-generational transmission of trauma), fear-based limiting beliefs, developmental life cycle stages, and cultural contexts.
