I have worked with children, teens, and families in both elementary and high school settings in public schools as well as a therapeutic day school. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from California Polytechnic State University and my Master's in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I have experience with IEPs, behavioral issues at school and childhood mental health diagnoses that can interfere with school and home life. I utilize person-centered and strength-based therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral (CBT), solution-focused, and motivational interviewing with a Restorative Justice and trauma-informed mindset. My continuing education includes training in function-based behavior support planning, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Restorative Justice Practices, and Motivational Interviewing. I utilize Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking curriculum as needed with youth. I will tailor treatment goals and therapeutic interventions to each individual’s specific needs. I believe that every client, no matter what age, possesses multiple strengths and attributes that when activated, lead them to reach their short and long-term goals.
