Hi! My name is Amy Jackson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Louisiana and the State of Tennessee. I have worked extensively with survivors of sexual and domestic violence. I also enjoy working with young adults who are seeking guidance in navigating their new stage of life. My approach is warm, person-centered, and I operate from a Holistic/Integrative approach. Everyone comes to therapy with their own individual story and life experiences, and I seek to individualize our sessions based upon your unique journey. I utilize techniques from both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, but am open to engaging with other therapeutic techniques if it better serves the client's situation.

I want to first thank you for your bravery. It can be difficult to seek help and acknowledge when we are suffering, and it shows immense strength to begin this process. I have worked in the mental health field for almost 9 years and am continually impressed by how clients grow resiliency through their hard work. I am looking forward to learning more about you, understanding your strengths, and working together to improve your quality of life. I ask that you be open and honest with me about what you need and what you want to change, and I will also honor your boundaries and comfort level.

I approach our relationship as though we are team with the same goals. My job is to help you feel better, but I can’t do that without work on your part as well. Therapy can be uncomfortable at times, but with hard work from both of us, we can move through the discomfort and come out stronger. While we will work together to set therapeutic goals, our time together is yours. If you have a pressing issue or problem that you want to spend time discussing, I am here to support you.
