My name is Amirah Iqbal and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am a native from New Orleans and received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Holy Cross. I believe that therapy can provide everyone the right tools to overcome difficult situations. Maintaining mental health is key in working towards a life with more success and happiness. This can mean being able to process emotions, learning to become more aware of negative emotions and finding ways to overcome difficult situations. There are times when life feels like it becomes unmanageable and there is no solution. As a therapist, my goal is to assist you through such stressors, and eventually overcome them.
I can help you connect with yourself, identify negative patterns that impact your daily life and help you recognize the strengths you already have so that you can lead a life you want to live. I create a non-judgmental, caring and honest environment in sessions and enjoy working with people of all ages and various backgrounds.
