My name Is Amelia. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Louisiana. My approach to therapy very person centered, as I focus on what goals the person would want to achieve and assist making the plan to achieve them. I am skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motional interviewing, DBT therapy, solution focused therapy, and positive psychology. My approach Due to the nature of mental health disorders I work with, I would say my approach to therapy is basically helping you get through life as life continues to occur. I assist those who suffer within relationships, with anxiety, depression, stress, life! My focus I work with everyone over the age of 13 years old. My focus is the adolescent population and young adults. My communication style My communication style is very relaxed, not pressured for the client to do all the talking, but making sure it is a collaborative effort to get to the main goal.
