My name is Amber Thomason, LPC and I have been treating individuals and families for more than 10 years. I strive to meet the people I work with wherever they are in their journey and help them develop a path toward their goals that makes the most sense for their current lives. Whether it is talking through an issue that has you feeling stuck, helping you obtain skills to cope with overwhelming feelings, or helping navigate through your challenges, I will work to support you. What is your approach to therapy? I use a combination of CBT, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered approaches. I have experience with anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I work with you to help you understand yourself and your reactions to the events in your life so you can better face challenges and celebrate wins. I try to offer new skills and approaches along the way to build resiliency and help you cope with those big emotions.
