Hi, my name is Amber Fortenberry. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience in the mental health field, 7 of those have been spent providing individual therapy. My special areas of focus are anxiety, depression, self-esteem/confidence, trauma, and family/peer conflict. I have been fortunate to work with those from all areas of life, and my goal in practice has been to collaboratively help others navigate a world that can be overwhelming and stressful, while helping them feel empowered and overall equipped to live a more enjoyable life. My goal is to provide a safe space for client’s to be heard and approaching each client with the acceptance, warmth, support, encouragement, and understanding that is deserved.

I will use techniques from mindfulness based stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, and brief/solution focused therapy to better prepare you for times when you may be triggered by every day life stressors or situations. I believe it is important to truly get to know my client’s life, and the paths they have had to walk, as everyone’s life story/walk is unique.
