About
With a background working in community mental health, Amanda has worked with a diverse set of diagnoses, including: anxiety, mood, and trauma disorders. Her experience lends itself to working primarily with adolescents, young adults, and adults. As a bilingual Mexican-American, Amanda has a special interest working with the Hispanic/ Latinx population. Eliminating the language barrier is crucial to providing a safe and comfortable environment for her patients. The safe environment Amanda creates for her patients is central to her approach to therapy. Using therapy as a collaborative tool, she helps clients navigate adverse childhood experiences, self-empowerment, communication skills, boundary creating, coping skills, and self-exploration. LGBTQIA+ affirming, Amanda is currently training to become a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider.
