About
Hi, I’m Amanda Mead. I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who works with adults who have experienced tough stuff in their childhood. My goal is to help you stop feeling overwhelmed and depressed and start encouraging you to see healing and transformation. I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I’m human. I’ve been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help. Throughout my life, I have known and struggled with what it is like to have your feelings and opinions not heard. I know what its like to feel like you’re both too much and not enough. I know deeply what it is like to have challenging experiences from childhood that show up into adulthood. Perfectionism, caretaking tendencies, and putting others first are just a few ongoing challenges that I personally know very well. My life experiences are what lead me to become the Psychologist I am today. Being a Psychologist is an honor. I love helping people become healthier and more empowered and watching them transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a Psychologist is inspiring others to be all they can be. I am committed to encouraging you to see healing and transformation. I Have Empathy For Others And Bring Warmth And Understanding To Sessions I have a natural ability to: Uncover what’s under the surface Inspire hope for getting better Accept people for who they are and in their current life circumstances Help clients heal their past and manage the present People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can sit with people at their worst and hear them when they are in that space. Our Sessions Are Focused On You Sessions will provide you with the space to be understood and heard. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to gain clarity and be understood and heard. It’s important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and create safety within session.
