My name is Amanda Garcia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island and my Masters Degree from Simmons University. My experiences have included serving as a Director of an early learning center, a Case Manager in the foster care system, a School Social Worker in a behavioral school, and an Individual, Family and Couples Therapist in an outpatient setting.

I create a therapeutic environment to support you on honoring your past, living in the present and imagining a more empowered future. I work collaboratively on setting goals for optimal outcomes and helping identify ways to manage current or long-standing challenges through a trauma sensitive approach. Most of my work has been in diverse and vulnerable populations with different people challenged by adversities and complex trauma through abuse, neglect or life events. No challenge is too big or too small to seek support from someone who will be on your team through the journey!
