I have 20 years of experience helping adults, children and families to strengthen their mental well being when it has been disrupted by challenging situations, emotional distress like anxiety and depression, and traumatic experiences. I help children and families by helping to foster positive coping skills and to develop positive parenting skills using a strengths based approach. I am nationally certified in Trauma Focused CBT. An evidenced based practice done in 12-15 sessions. This model is designed for children ages 5-17. I also am Child Parent Psychotherapy trained. This is an evidence based trauma treatment for children ages 0 to 5 and their caregivers. I received my BA in Psychology from Lyndon State College in VT and my MSW from Salem State University in MA. In addition to a long history of providing therapy I have also supervised clinicians and interns and was a clinic director for a child and family mental health agency for 10 years. I have a private practice in MA and have experience with both face to face and telehealth treatment.
