Hello, if you are here then let me first congratulate you on your first step in wellness. My name is Amanda Griggs and I am a licensed professional counselor based in Louisiana who has been practicing for six years. I have worked with adults, veterans, and geriatric clients in both private-practice counseling as well as hospital settings, including in-patient and outpatient treatment. I have a wide range of experience with counseling needs at varying levels of severity. I have treated severe cases of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder as well as depression, anxiety, attention deficient disorder, anger-management, addiction, self-harm, eating disorders, couples counseling, parental counseling and coordinating, and transitional issues.

I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviews, and solution-focused counseling. I like to encourage a safe environment for my clients to express themselves and tailor our conversations based on their needs and counseling goals.
