Hi, I’m Amanda, I’m a social worker with over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families. Connecting with a therapist is an important first step, so here’s a little about me:
As a social worker, I’m interested in helping clients identify their strengths and build resilience, all with the goal of discovering and realizing a fulfilling life.
Each of us comes to therapy with our individual history and experiences. This means we have specific concerns and challenges we’d like to address. But this also means we each have strengths and abilities we can draw from. I believe in creating a supportive space where a client's identity and culture are respected and honored.
Much of my experience is in the medical field, and I have extensive experience working with individuals facing complex and/or chronic medical conditions. I’m especially interested in our experiences of physical movement and mobility, and how this impacts our social and emotional wellness. I also have particular experience supporting caregivers and families coping with grief and loss.
