I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hold a National Certified Counselor license, I also have doctoral level training (projected PhD completion August 2020) in counselor education with a specialty in dissociative trauma and issues affecting veterans. I work with personal issues for family relationships, work challenges, and personal development. Life can be challenging and I work from viewpoint that you are the expert in your life and together we can solve the issues that have become barriers to peace and tranquility. Anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma related barriers are areas of focus in my practice. I have worked with couples, family systems, and coping with divorce.

My counseling style is strength based and trauma-informed. I am able to work across multiple counseling theories including: Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Dialectical Behavior Theory, Reality Therapy through Choice Theory, Existential theory, Adlerian theory, Narrative therapy, Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Theory, and Solution-Focused theory. I believe it is important to match the counseling approach to the style of the client. I practice a multicultural view and have worked with our LGBT community, US veterans, and individuals living with mental health diagnoses dealing with psychosis.
