About
Are you having thoughts and feelings that just don’t make sense? Do you ever feel really upset and can’t figure out why? Does it seem like finding happiness is harder for you than for others? You’re definitely not alone in this. At A Balanced Therapy, we’re all about helping you feel better. We listen, really listen, to what you’re going through and help you see things in a new way. We’ll work together to help you find your happy place, even when it seems really hard to get there. Your journey to feeling good about life starts with just one step. Your journey to joy starts now. Since 2009, I’ve been helping individuals overcome anxiety, stress, and depression, as well as providing drug and alcohol counseling. With extensive experience across the human lifespan, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago. During my academic journey, I interned at the Institute for Juvenile Research, the nation’s first child mental health institute. In addition to my academic achievements, I also received specialized training to help patients cope with financial hardships that may impact their mental health. I have particular expertise in DSM assessment and treatment planning, and I continually seek out education and training to grow my skills and knowledge in the field. As a licensed practicing therapist, I work with individuals who feel lost and need guidance to rediscover their way. My goal is to help my clients achieve mental balance and overall well-being. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or depression, or if you need help overcoming substance abuse issues, I’m here to help. My extensive experience, specialized training, and ongoing commitment to education make me a valuable asset to your journey toward mental wellness. Let’s work together to achieve your goals and improve your quality of life.
