I have been a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina for four years. I have worked with people of all ages from varied backgrounds in different stages of life. I specialize specifically in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This theory focuses on thoughts, feelings and actions and specifically looks for negative interactions between any of these three areas. In this therapeutic approach, we will look for irrational thoughts or untrue thoughts that may be holding you back from making necessary changes in your life.

I have worked in multiple setting including office based and school based counseling. I have worked with a variety of clients and I have found that setting realistic goals that are agreed upon by both the counselor and the client yield better results. In my sessions, I utilize many coping skills and worksheets to be completed in and out of session. I utilize those to give you the tools to reduce symptoms and achieve better mental health.
