Hello. My name is Althia and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in North Carolina. I am also a DISTANCE CREDENTIALED COUNSELOR (DCC), trained in effectively counseling remotely via telehealth. I have worked as a Psychotherapist for over 15 years. I work with individuals having a wide range of issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, infidelity, relationships, trust, and life transitions, (eg. marriage, new job, life after college graduation, new child, job loss, a move to a new area, etc).

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, Strengths-based Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and a person-centered approach to help my clients reach their goals. I adjust my approach according to the specific issues you would like to work through.

My clients have used the following words to describe me: compassionate, empathetic, wise, patient, and easy to talk to. I truly enjoy the work I do and consider it an honor to create a calm, non-judgmental space for them to be themselves while we focus on their growth and overall well-being.
