The decision to start therapy can be both exciting and daunting. It takes courage to be vulnerable with another person. I believe it is ultimately through our relationships (with a therapist, family members, friends, and most importantly, ourselves) that we find healing. Therefore, I strive to create a safe, accepting, supportive, and trusting environment where we work together as collaborators. We will focus on gaining insight into your emotions, identifying and changing patterns, and building upon your innate strengths to reach your current goals. My approach to therapy is gentle, authentic, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I know that no one approach works for everyone. I provide therapy that is client-centered and trauma-informed. I graduated from the University of Michigan’s School of Social Work with a focus on interpersonal practice with children and youth. For the past 10 years, I have worked in community mental health providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. I have enjoyed helping clients with anxiety, depression, a history of trauma, difficulties with interpersonal relationships, as well as those struggling in school.
