About

Hello there! My name is Allison Clark and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor..

I have been in the counseling field since 2017 after being an educator for 15 years. I began as an elementary school counselor and have worked as a Kinder-8th grade crisis counselor at one of the largest school districts in Texas since 2019. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with my Master’s and Stephen F. Austin with my Bachelor’s degree.

My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive space for you to work through whatever you feel is important. My focus is grief and the grief journey yet I also walk many clients through anxiety, depression, and navigating difficult times in life. Grief can feel isolating and often make you question if the pain will ever go away. While it doesn’t go away, I can promise you that it does not always hurt as bad. When grieving, it is vital to have a safe place to share thoughts and emotions without feeling judged or ashamed. Exploring feelings and emotions is essential for healing.

I have many years of experience with adults and young adults, with a main focus geared towards child loss or infant loss. I also have experience working with adolescents, parents, single adults, those struggling with anxiety and/or depression, and I currently often work with teens who self-harm and have frequent suicide ideations. I apply trauma-sensitive approaches to all my sessions and incorporate DBT and CBT strategies.

My hopes are to meet you where you are and use my expertise to help guide you down a path that can lead to resolution and understanding. I look forward to partnering with you on this new endeavor!
