Allison is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in trauma, EMDR, children and families, substance abuse, behavioral and emotional concerns. Allison uses a strengths based and collaborative perspective when working with all clients. Allison also encourages the use of cognitive behavioral and dialectic behavioral interventions to assist with symptom management. Allison tends to focus on how early memories and experience shape the individual we are today. Allison is trained in EMDR, or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, which assists clients take control over past traumatic memories and reprocess them in a more positive lens. This intervention is found to be effective across ages as well as presenting symptoms. Allison also has Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) training, which assists those with autism spectrum disorder, attention hyperactivity disorders, procrastination, and motivation. Allison has been working in the field for over 16 years with over 8 years of licensed experience. Allison is also a qualified supervisor and loves serving the community.
