Hello, I am Allison Chase. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a decade of experience working with individuals and couples. My areas of focus are infertility, pregnancy, postpartum and adjusting to parenthood. I also have experience in and enjoy helping clients struggling with life transitions, anxiety and depression. My approach In my work with clients, I provide new perspectives, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and help client's develop coping skills to help overcome challenges. I believe feeling validated, understood and seen are important to healing and growth. I commonly use Supportive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with clients. I strive to create a safe space for client's to better understand their thoughts, feelings and behavior. In a supportive environment, I guide clients to uncover new perspectives and challenge unhelpful ways of thinking as well as teach tangible coping skills. Together I hope to help clients get unstuck and move toward the life they want. My journey to therapy I have always been drawn to helping professions. I find working with clients and helping them on their journey toward the life they want to have is the most rewarding work I could imagine. My goals for you One of the questions I ask during an initial session with clients is what they would like to achieve with therapy. Identifying specific goals for each therapy episode gives our work together a direction to move toward and helps maintain therapeutic focus. I believe goals should be identified by the client, however if clients feel stuck I can help guide them in goal setting.
