About

Good Day,
My name is Allen. I have worked in the Addictions and Mental Health field for the past 30 years in a number of positions. I started in hospital based settings working with those in need of medically managed withdrawal services (detox) and worked toward licensing the program and developing a rehabilitation program for individuals who standard rehabilitation setting wouldn't serve. Those were primarily individuals who had medical issues, including pregnancy and those with medications that were not accepted into standard treatment. Then for the same organization I was assigned to manage their Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT) . Along the way I became Director of that program, then the outpatient programs MAT and standard treatment settings along with the inpatient settings. Hospitals merged and I became the Regional Director for Community Rehabilitation Services. During this time period I operated a small private practice. After 26 years I realized I enjoyed the private practice more and focused on that. My last five years of corporate activity I was recruited by the Commission of Rehabilitation Facilities as a Surveyor for Accreditation. I travel the U.S.A. working collaboratively with organizations to assist them in improving their quality of care.

My first love though is providing individual and group settings for those individuals who are struggling with Mental health and / or addiction related issues. My client list include those seeking treatment for depression, anxiety, addiction, attachment as well as personality disorders. My work with couples and families increased in the private setting and I specialize in assisting couple and families in communication, common and individual goal identification and setting as well as dispute resolution.

I have served as the OASAS Education and Training for the local Providers Network for 27 years.
I look forward to speaking with you regarding any concerns you may have.

I have a license as a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and also as a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York.
