Alix Kavran, M.A., LPC, LCPC: I have a passion for helping individuals find their path to emotional well-being. I believe that each individual comes in for help with their own unique set of concerns and history and should not be treated in a one-size-fits-all manner. My approach is a combination of meeting the client where they are in their healing process and identifying the best therapeutic approach for the individual’s set of concerns and unique character. I enjoy utilizing a creative approach and find that it helps with the process, so you may find that I will include art, sandtray, movement, etc. in treatment. For several years, I have helped individuals who have experienced trauma, grief, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. I have been in the counseling field for several years and have provided therapeutic services in settings including community mental health, hospitals, and private practice. I have received training in Brainspotting, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, and several other modalities and therapeutic frameworks. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking outside, golfing, and playing with my energetic Italian Greyhound and German Shepherd.
