My name is Alissa Schmidt and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 6 years of experience. I have masters degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. I use person centered, solution focused therapy along with skills from CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness. I am also trained in the trauma intervention Progressive Counting. I have experience working with individuals struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, mood instability, negative thinking patterns/self talk and trauma histories.
My ultimate goal is to create a safe, positive space where individuals feel comfortable to express themselves and work towards their identified goals. I look forward to working with you!
