Hi there! I have 20+ years of experience in the field of counseling, holding a license in clinical social work in the state of MA. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and have particular skills and interests helping individuals with sudden life changes, coping with intense emotions , substance use, depression/anxiety, and acute/overwhelming stress . I am able to assist with whatever challenging situation you have found yourself struggling.

Currently I offer chat room (typing sessions) for traditional therapy; and over video I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy for clients that are appropriate after assessing if they would benefit from this unique type of therapy. Please let me know if you are interested in the chat therapy or EMDR.

A little bit about my availability and response time - please consider this when thinking about your own needs and expectations from your counselor. I am available for sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays during the week. I look forward to working with you, and hope this is a schedule that fits with yours. I generally check messages 1-2 times per day, and I am fully responsive during most weekdays. If it takes a bit of time getting back to you, I may be tending to other clients or professional/personal responsibilities. Of course, if there is anything urgent or you have an imminent need related to your situation, I will do my best to respond as soon as possible. I typically cannot respond on the weekend, unless it is something very urgent.

My counseling style is warm, supportive, attentive, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and strengths-based counseling with a focus on achieving small successes to reach larger goals.
