About

I am a licensed professional counselor with 30 years experience . I have a strong background with trauma based clients with a focus on depression, ptsd issues, anxiety, emotional abuse, and relationship conflicts. I successfully ran a women's trauma program supervising therapist as well as counseling women individually and in groups. My therapeutic approach uses both solution focus treatment and relationship modeling. This can help me teach clients coping skills to help manage overwhelming feelings as well as help clients understand through the therapeutic relationship the role they play in their own significant relationships with others and themselves. I am a strong advocate for clients to participate in their treatment and believe the therapeutic relationship to be an alliance between myself and my client. This relationship teaches me as much about myself as it does about my client. I appreciate both the responsibility and the joy of seeing clients grow and change. I am looking forward to working with Find A Therapist and starting this new chapter in my professional life.
