I am a trauma therapist licensed in Texas with over 7 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults in both a school and healthcare setting. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family issues, self-esteem issues, school issues, bullying, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I have realized that many mental health problems are the result of unprocessed trauma or chronic stress. I take a client-led and compassionate approach to helping clients process stuck emotions or trauma that has led to their current life problems. Safety in the body and mind is of utmost importance in working with trauma and I never rush my clients into processing an event that their nervous system is not yet conditioned or prepared for.

My therapy style is client-centered and uniquely tailored to each of my clients needs. I use breathing techniques, guided visualizations, and somatic experiencing to empower my clients to self-heal by connecting to their bodies. Not only am I a licensed mental health therapist, I am also a licensed yoga instructor so I integrate a lot of body work in the therapy room. My approach combines eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing, mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to give my clients a well-rounded approach to healing.
