About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced working with adults, children, and families. I have worked with individuals experiencing varying degrees of trauma, drug and alcohol use, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, anger management, and a variety of other problems. I believe in drawing from a variety of techniques and believe that there is no "one size fits all" modality of treatment. Using a client-centered approach, I work on developing an authentic and trusting relationship and draw from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy as well as focusing on mindfulness to create a holistic approach to counseling. I obtained my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. I have provided services within a wide range of settings including non-profit organizations, private practice settings, and intensive residential treatment. I have experience with individuals from many walks of life including those who have experienced homelessness, women and children survivors of domestic violence and women with opioid use disorder, providing group and individual therapeutic services. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (77618) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I believe in joining alongside the client and empowering them to find it within themselves to find the strengths that will allow them to make the changes they are looking for!
