About
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I am presently practicing in the state of Florida, while I am also actively pursuing licensure in the states of Colorado and Utah.
I have worked both in private practice and residential treatment throughout my career, primarily conducting individual, family, and group therapy. I am well versed in the modalities of CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, MRI, and Motivational Interviewing. I have dedicated my career to treating individuals and families that struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, anger, self-esteem, relationship conflicts, substance abuse, behavioral modification, and co-occurring disorders.
I have experience managing a clinical department and designing the clinical structure in a substance abuse facility, where I held the position of Clinical Lead. In my current position at Safe Landing Recovery for Teens, I devised the family therapy program for the facility which guides the clinical team in how to treat the family system of the adolescent clients from the beginning of treatment until they complete the program. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and the elderly in residential treatment. I am passionate about focusing on family systems and relationship dynamics, and taking a client-centered approach that meets the targeted needs of each individual.
