Welcome!

My name is Allie and I am a mental health counselor (LPCC) licensed in Ohio. I have been in the mental health field for over 6 years and recently also acquired my Health Coach certificate in July of 2020. I have worked in multiple types of settings (hospital, community mental health, and private practice) and with a wide range of mental health concerns. Most notably, I specialize in working with individuals who have anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, relationship issues, life stressors, and grief.

My philosophy towards counseling is that each of my clients holds the potential to achieve mental wellness and relief from any mental health struggles. My aim is to create a safe environment for all clients to feel heard, cared for, and respected. I combine cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing to best fit the needs of my clients.

Outside of being a counselor, I am a firm believer in self-care and try to practice what I preach by incorporating joyful movement, spending time with my two pups (Izzie and Arlo), exploring the outdoors in the beautiful NE Ohio, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.

The hardest part in starting therapy is starting and you have already accomplished this! I hope you can continue your mental health journey with me as your counselor.
