Hello, my name is Alex Rigda. I’m a professional counselor with over 10 years of mental health experience. I completed my graduate degree at a CACREP credentialed university in 2014. My experience began in community mental health in 2009 and has steered me towards working with mood disorders including depression, anxiety, as well as substance abuse disorders. I enjoy helping people with life transitions, effective communication styles, and problem solving solutions. Often I split time between running group therapy and seeing individual clients.

From working with and learning from well-respected clinicians and patients from various backgrounds, I’ve been able to cultivate my approach by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, and Positive Psychology. I enjoy helping people break down their personal barriers and help implement new skills and create plans to help my patients achieve their short and long term goals.

I pride myself on being an open minded clinician and exercise patience to be an active listener. I try to allow for flowing and mutual dialogue that allows me understand you and provides an effective collaborative approach.
