Hello and welcome, my name is Alejandra and I am a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in mental health. I practice from a psychodynamic perspective, which means I pay attention to feelings and beliefs that emerge from one's lived experience. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, work issues, and family issues and can include faith as a part of the healing process. My approach to therapy is client-centered and based on an individual's needs. Every individual is unique and I believe in collaborating with clients to problem-solve together. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Integrative/Holistic Therapy. I believe in seeing each person from a whole-person perspective, which means emotional, physical, and spiritual needs are addressed. These modalities help me gain a clearer understanding of how to move forward with each individual. I have experience providing mental health services to clients of all ages in a variety of settings such as schools, hospitals, behavioral health clinics, and non-profit faith-based organizations. I have worked with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, women's issues, chronic illness & pain, substance use, relationship conflict, burnout, life transitions, caregiver stress, and Christian counseling. I work to help my clients problem-solve and identify coping skills to eliminate and help manage stressors in their lives. My approach is warm, empathic, strength-based, and non-judgmental. I am passionate about clients feeling heard and guided toward relief, empowerment, and restoration. My goal is always to create an environment that feels safe for clients to build trust without judgment. As a clinical social worker, I am impacted by the needs of others and how traumatic experiences in their lives have negatively affected them. I am passionate about working with others to help them heal.
