About

I work with a diverse clientele, including musicians, actors, comedians and artists. I am actively involved in supporting the LGBTQIA community and I am sensitive to the cultural issues within this community in my practice. I have worked directly with the Trans Community and have supported the successful transition of many people over the years. However, my main focus is to be a catalyst for my clients in their individualized development of new core capacities. Some of these core capacities include empathy, vulnerability, self-awareness, accountability and courage.

I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Rogerian, Gestalt, Narrative, Experiential and Humanistic psychology. My work is directly inspired by and influenced from the Expressive Arts and most recently The Hakomi Method. I embrace the concept of collaborativity in sessions. This co-creation is intended to encourage the client to actively assist in guiding the healing process.

In addition to being trained for a year by The Hakomi Institute, which is a body-centered, somatic approach to psychotherapy, I have been studying psychology and the transformation process through the creative arts since 1995 and have been experimenting with various art forms since early childhood. I encourage clients to engage in therapy as though it is part of their own creative process.
