Hey there! My name is Aimee Williams and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years in the social work field; 5 of which have been as a therapist and a supervisor of other therapists. I graduated in 2016 from the University of South Carolina with a Masters in Social Work.

I am a strengths-based therapist with a solid background in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to assist clients in learning how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I often use mindfulness and solution-focused techniques with clients and help them work towards the goals they want to work towards, with a non-judgmental attitude.

I have experience working with couples, families, children, stress-related concerns, anxiety, anger, and depression (including suicidal ideations and self-harm). In addition, I have experience with survivors with trauma and abuse.

On a personal note, I am several months into a new marriage, so I have recently become Aimee Byrd (but I haven't officially made my name change yet). I am the mother of 4 fur children (2 dogs and 2 cats)! I currently work a full-time job as a supervisor to 9 teams of therapists working with children and families and have desperately missed direct practice, which is why I joined Find A Therapist as a therapist, to get to work with you lovely people! I also feel that music is very important - I love to sing and am actually in a band as a lead singer.
