My name is Ailicec Figueroa Aragon and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California providing services via Telehealth. I specialize in working with women and teens. I provide a safe space where we will focus on gaining skills while navigating through hardships and transitions such as day-to-day stress, self-esteem, self-doubt, identity issues, peer and family relationship issues, and boundary setting. My approach I offer empathy and a client centered environment where you can feel safe taking about anything. I use a combination of therapeutic modalities including CBT and mindfulness depending on what best suits your needs. The focus will be in strengthening the trust in yourself to make sustainable changes. My focus I have 7 years of experience working with teens and young women who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures that often takes the form of anxiety, low self-esteem, self doubt, and anger. I work to help my clients navigate through transition periods and to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop sustainable skills and a more positive outlook on life. My communication style My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I focus on listening without judgement and provide observant, compassionate, and empathetic curiosity and feedback. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist after witnessing and benefiting from the mentorship of two therapist who were leaders in a community program I was in as a teen. The way they would help each of us navigate through our personal struggles fed my desire to gain more skills to help others. It has always brought me joy to see people overcome struggles, support each other, heal, and come out stronger. Helping others has always brought me joy and the growth journey I get to witness always inspires me to continue to grow through my own personal human experience.
