Hi there! I am so glad that you have decided to reach out for help and support. My name is Aijha Benson, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the state of Louisiana. I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology degrees from Louisiana State University Shreveport. My relationships with my clients involve trust, respect, and empathy. My hope is to support and empower my clients to make positive changes in their lies, and my approach to counseling is laid back and collaborative. My counseling approach tends to be person-centered and strength based, but I also incorporate cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies in my work with clients.

I have worked with all ages in various settings, including college counseling, substance abuse, community mental health, and within the military population. My experience in these various settings has allowed me to work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, stress, life adjustments, LGBTQ related issues, relationship and intimacy struggles, substance abuse, self-esteem, and more.
