About

I am a therapist and the founder of Strong Self Psychotherapy, PLLC. My educational & professional experience is diverse. My undergraduate background was in law enforcement and criminal justice. My graduate work has covered forensic psychology, psychological research, and professional counseling. As a therapist, I’ve provided individual and group psychotherapy to individuals, families, and adolescents in private, incarcerated, university, and community settings.

My goal is to build a reliable, trusting, transparent therapeutic relationship together where you can feel safe to explore those parts of yourself which are hidden, uncomfortable, or painful. Together we can find new ways of responding to your emotions and the events of your life so you can build the life you want to live. To do this, I will draw from psycho-dynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing tools.
